WASTEDBoarding.com is the brain child of Dave Frost, Joe Hom and Kirby Turner. The three computer consultants had spent most of 2001 working long hours for a client with little to no time off. To de-stress the three decided to head off to Whistler, British Columbia for a month of snowboarding.

Dave, Joe and Kirby [later to be known as the WASTED Crew] decided it would be fun to invite friends from all around to join them at Whistler. An invitation went out to a large group of friends and family inviting each to join the WASTED Crew for a day, a weekend, a week or the entire month. An amazing 21 guest attended the first WASTED trip. And one person even made multiple visits.

Can you imagine 21 people showing up to your rented condo all expecting to stay the night? And the condo only sleeps 6 to 8 people! This trip needed to be managed. Using the very skills the Crew employes each day, a Web site was created with an online reservation feature. Guest were now free to come to the site and reserve nights in the condo. This idea was a total hit and many request came in from other wishing to do the same for their own trips. Sadly the WASTED Crew did not have time to produce a general solution for the public to use...until NOW!

WASTEDBoarding.com is an evolving Web application that allows others to setup and manage their own snowboarding and skiing trips. It is a free service and hopefully will remain free. So stop reading, schedule a trip, and start dreaming of fresh powder.
