Joe is incommunicato, but if it's ok, I'll drop a word about the weekend...Sahweet. Arrived Saturday to freshies. Boarded 5 top to bottom leg burning runs. Timothy Hicks VonShussenhauser earned honorary shredder status by hanging with the boarders for the entire day, lending a touch of class to the group with his super g form. Katie Halfpipe, joe and I tried our best to out run each other, but surprised each other with skills that had obviously been honed in secret over the summer. Sunday was a day of rest for us, but not the mountain. Whistler was busy being coated with a 4-5 inch layer of light and fluffy. Joe picked up his newly waxed board (I ribbed him all day Saturday that he was going too slowly) and we caught fresh tracks. My mistake. Joe's new ride had him disappearing down the mountain like an express train leaving us at the turnstiles. It was all we could do to keep our little inside voices from screaming "For the love of God SLOW DOWN" I dubb him "Smokin' Joe". Not to be out down, Katie hit the jumps, taking one on the chin, litterally slamming knee into chin, bruising both. Me, my only injury was a smile cramp. Have fun everyone, there's plenty of snow for all.
